Monitoring Engineer

Lead platform monitoring, manage incidents, and improve observability to protect merchant reliability.

• •Adyen is hiring a Platform Monitoring Engineer / Incident Manager to monitor platform performance, lead incident response, and improve observability across the payments platform based in Amsterdam.
• •Key Responsibilities Participate in 24/7 on-call monitoring and detect platform issues proactively.
• •Coordinate mitigation, recovery, and communication during high-impact incidents.
• •Analyze incident trends and drive problem management and long-term fixes.
• •Improve monitoring, alerts, and automation across the platform.
• •Requirements At least 5 years experience in incident and problem management and platform monitoring operations.
• •Experience with monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK) and observability platforms (Datadog, Dynatrace, Splunk).
• •Strong communication and analytical skills; able to present to technical and non-technical audiences.
• •Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and shift schedule including 6-day workweeks.
