Engineering Manager, Atlas (Spatial Systems)

Lead the founding team to build a Spatial System for transforming the physical world into a digital twin.

• •Verkada is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the founding Atlas team, responsible for building the Spatial Systems that transform the physical world into an interactive digital twin.
• •This role involves zero-to-one execution, platform architecture design, and hiring and mentoring a team of engineers.
• •Key Responsibilities Lead the V1 development of the Spatial System, including the image pipeline and collaborative editing protocols.
• •Design a modular, plugin-based architecture with SDKs and APIs for product teams.
• •Oversee the development of systems for transforming unstructured data into structured vector data using ML and automation.
• •Build and mentor a founding team of 4-6 engineers, establishing engineering culture and standards.
• •Partner with other Product EMs to ensure a unified user experience across the Verkada suite.
• •Requirements Proven ability to build complex, state-heavy web or mobile applications with a deep understanding of modern frontend architectures.
• •Experience building sophisticated data pipelines for unstructured data at scale, using ML or geometric algorithms.
• •Strong execution bias and ability to translate high-level vision into tangible platforms quickly.
