Software Engineer, Claude Design

Build and lead frontend engineering for Claude Design, focusing on craft, real-time editing, and AI-driven UX.

• •Build and shape Claude Design, a frontend-heavy product integrating AI-driven generation with high-craft design experiences, collaborating with research and product teams to iterate rapidly.
• •Key Responsibilities Build core surfaces: canvas, real-time editing, inline comments, and live adjustment controls Collaborate with research to turn generation capabilities into product experiences Set technical direction for editor, real-time collaboration, import/export, and performance Design and run experiments and own product quality, latency, and reliability Mentor engineers and shape roadmap alongside design and product Requirements 8+ years building full-stack apps with deep frontend strength Experience setting technical direction and mentoring while coding Strong design sensibility and attention to interaction detail Proficiency with modern web stacks: React, TypeScript, Node.js, plus backend/cloud technologies Startup or zero-to-one product experience
