Senior Manager Cloud Data Platform

Manage and lead the cloud data platform team to ensure a scalable, secure GCP data stack.

• •Lead a team owning the cloud data platform (GCP) to ensure reliability, scalability, security, and cost-efficiency for Scopely’s Playgami platform.
• •Key Responsibilities Own architecture, performance, and reliability of the GCP-based data platform.
• •Manage and mentor data platform engineers and act as tool/platform administrator.
• •Define infrastructure as code practices and implement Terraform-based provisioning.
• •Improve observability, monitoring, incident response, and cost optimization.
• •Partner with engineering, analytics, security, and governance teams to enforce access and standards.
• •Requirements 6–10 years in data platform, data engineering, or cloud infrastructure roles. 2+ years managing or mentoring engineers.
• •Strong experience with Google Cloud, BigQuery, IAM, dbt, and Airflow.
• •Experience with Terraform and platform reliability, scalability, and cost optimization.
