Staff Software Engineer - Data Protection

Build and ship security and data protection infrastructure to safeguard customer data.

• •Join Verkada's Security Team to build privacy-focused security and privacy infrastructure, services, and frameworks protecting customers and personal data across applications, infrastructure, and devices.
• •Key Responsibilities Develop security and privacy infrastructure for infrastructure, applications, and devices.
• •Architect scalable systems to manage growing data volumes without sacrificing security or performance.
• •Collaborate with engineering, product, and security leadership to define and implement security goals and programs.
• •Mentor junior engineers and share expertise externally via conferences and open-source.
• •Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent. 8+ years as a software or security engineer with hands-on coding.
• •Strong experience with cloud providers (AWS/GCP).
• •Experience with encryption, cryptography, and data protection practices.
• •Excellent communication and collaboration skills; onsite work required five days/week.
