About the role

Serve as the technical lead and strategic advisor for Checkout.com's largest merchant accounts.

  • Technical Strategic Account Managers are the technical leads for strategic merchant relationships, improving payment performance, owning incident response, and driving technical initiatives to grow revenue.
  • Key Responsibilities Analyze merchant payment data to identify optimization opportunities and drive product adoption.
  • Act as primary technical authority for merchant API integrations and infrastructure.
  • Lead critical incident response and coordinate internal teams for resolution.
  • Project-manage migrations and product launches ensuring timely delivery.
  • Deliver training, workshops, and act as merchant advocate internally.
  • Requirements 4+ years in client-facing technical roles (TAM, Solutions Consulting, Sales Engineering).
  • Hands-on experience with REST APIs and integration troubleshooting.
  • Degree in Computer Science/IT or equivalent experience.
  • Strong communication with ability to engage C-level and engineering teams.
