Technical Lead Manager, Software Infra/Query Storage

Manage and technically lead a team building large-scale data pipeline, storage, and query infrastructure.

• •Lead and grow a team building data pipeline, storage, and query infrastructure to support Waymo's autonomous driving platform.
• •Key Responsibilities Manage and mentor software engineers; foster engineering excellence.
• •Define and execute technical roadmap for data pipelines, storage, and query systems.
• •Design, develop, and operate scalable distributed systems for large-scale data processing.
• •Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (Perception, Planner, Simulation, Data Science).
• •Own end-to-end lifecycle: architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring.
• •Requirements BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related field. 8+ years software engineering experience building distributed systems. 2+ years engineering management or technical leadership experience.
• •Proficiency in C++, Java, or Python.
• •Knowledge of data processing frameworks, storage systems, and query engines.
