Software Engineer, Fleet Orchestration Core

Build backend fleet orchestration systems and tools for Waymo's autonomous vehicle operations.

• •Build and evolve mission-critical fleet orchestration tools and infrastructure to support Waymo's autonomous fleet and operations.
• •Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain backend systems and tools for fleet optimization and operations.
• •Collaborate with product, UX, and engineering teams across mobile, cloud, and vehicle domains.
• •Solve problems like fleet optimization, field escalation, and workshop management.
• •Deliver business-critical infrastructure and cross-team technical solutions.
• •Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. 5+ years backend or infrastructure engineering experience.
• •Proficiency in backend languages such as C++, Python, and Java.
• •Experience working with cross-functional, nontechnical stakeholders.
