Software Quality Ops Scenarios Specialist (RelSim)

Operate and improve simulation-based testing to ensure Waymo Driver safety and quality.

• •Technical specialist in Scenario Operations supporting simulation-based testing to ensure safety, reliability, and quality of Waymo's autonomous driving software.
• •Key Responsibilities Partner with product and engineering to develop and optimize simulation tooling combining human-in-the-loop and AI automation.
• •Drive rapid-response simulation testing for emergent field issues and support root-cause analysis and fix validation.
• •Define policies, SOPs, and guidelines integrating tools into vendor workflows.
• •Design quality assurance processes for human and AI-generated outputs and validate vendor work.
• •Provide technical consultation and SME support across cross-functional teams.
• •Requirements BS/BA degree or 4 years relevant experience in AV software quality, simulation, or operations.
• •Experience with ML testing/validation, dataset QA, bias detection, and edge-case scenario testing.
• •Ability to master proprietary tools and root-cause complex technical issues.
• •Strong understanding of driving rules, behavioral safety, and complex traffic environments.
