Senior Applied AI Engineer

Lead and deliver production enterprise AI programs and mentor applied AI engineers.

• •Lead delivery of end-to-end enterprise AI programs on Snowflake's Cortex team, owning architecture, productionization, and customer outcomes while mentoring a small engineering team.
• •Key Responsibilities Lead and deliver complex multi-engineer AI engagements from scoping to deployment and handoff.
• •Define and run evaluation frameworks and metrics to improve LLM/agent quality in production.
• •Mentor and provide technical leadership to a team of Applied AI Engineers.
• •Build production-grade ML pipelines, safety guardrails, and observability for deployed AI systems.
• •Act as a strategic technical advisor to customer engineering and product leaders.
• •Requirements 5+ years professional software engineering experience with technical leadership.
• •Proven experience building and productionizing applications using LLMs, RAG, and agent workflows.
• •Experience defining quality metrics, eval frameworks, and running structured experiments.
• •Customer-facing technical experience and willingness to travel (~25%).
