Backend Staff Engineer

Lead and build scalable backend systems and real-time chat features for MONOPOLY GO! Chat.

• •Staff Backend Engineer to lead technical direction and build scalable backend systems for MONOPOLY GO! Chat, working from Kelowna or remotely within Canada and the US.
• •Key Responsibilities Lead design and implementation of backend services, APIs, data models, and real-time systems.
• •Build social/chat features like conversations, messaging, notifications, and presence.
• •Own reliability, performance, security, observability, and operational quality.
• •Design resilient distributed systems with async processing, caching, search, and event-driven workflows.
• •Requirements 8+ years building backend services for mobile/apps/games or social products.
• •Deep experience with C#, ASP.NET and production backend development.
• •Experience with AWS services (DynamoDB, Redis, OpenSearch, SQS/SNS, Lambda, ECS).
• •Strong systems design, security, and scalability expertise.
