About the role
Design and run experiments and analyses to optimize compute allocation and link it to user outcomes.
- •Hands-on Data Scientist on the Supply pillar focusing on compute allocation, experimentation, and connecting allocation decisions to user outcomes to inform operational changes.
- •Key Responsibilities Design and run observational and synthetic experiments to measure compute allocation effects Link compute decisions to downstream user metrics (retention, LTV, revenue) Partner with infrastructure, product, and research to instrument systems and ship changes Build metric hierarchies, dashboards, and reporting for supply decisions Present analyses and recommendations to executive leadership Requirements Strong technical IC background in data science, analytics, or operations research Foundation in optimization, constrained allocation, and queueing Proficiency with Python, SQL, and data visualization tools Experience owning end-to-end analyses and working with production engineering teams Passion for Anthropic's AI safety mission
