Staff Security Engineer, Developer Tools

Security engineering leader to enhance developer tools and integrate security into the SDLC.

• •Verkada is seeking a security engineering leader to partner with the Developer Experience engineering team.
• •This role involves performing threat models, security design reviews, and refining security tools to integrate security throughout the SDLC.
• •You will define the security roadmap, requirements, and priorities to enhance the tools, AI agents, and systems that empower our software engineers.
• •Key Responsibilities Facilitate security integration throughout the software development lifecycle.
• •Evangelize software security best practices through training and information sharing.
• •Partner with engineering and product teams to improve product security.
• •Perform architecture analysis, threat modeling, and technical design reviews.
• •Create and operate a bug bounty program.
• •Requirements Bachelor of Science in Computer Science degree or equivalent. 7+ years of experience in security engineering, software engineering, site reliability engineering, or security consulting.
• •Strong experience with AWS, GCP or other cloud service provider.
